We are Looking for Members
The Chattahoochee Woman’s Club is an organization based in the North Fulton area which performs volunteer assistance in the areas of the arts, conservation, education, home life, international affairs and public affairs. We have been performing service work for over 30 years in connection with the Georgia Federation of Women’s Clubs.
A few of our many projects we have performed in recent years includes working with EnAble. We purchased art lessons for several of their members at You Gotta Have Art Studios in Alpharetta. We helped to develop a Serenity Garden at the Drake House and work with Autrey Mill Nature Center with their Spooky Mill event and several of the Shakespeare Studio’s performances. We have adopted Jesse’s House, a home-based in Cumming for girls from ages 7 through 18 who have been recommended to the home from local court systems for their two-year community improvement project. We enjoy supporting our military, both current and veterans. We’ve written letters and donated items to Hugs for Soldiers and purchased items for women veterans at the Veterans Hospital in Atlanta. In addition, one of our favorite events is A Night for Wild Women, which raises funds for Heifer International.
This year we will be inviting each member to create a worthy project and will be furnishing a $150 budget for those projects which are accepted by the Board. If you are interested in learning more about the CWC, call 678-218-5732 or visit our website at www.chattwoman.com.
The Chattahoochee Woman’s Club welcomes women from ages 21 and over who are interested in providing volunteer work to the community.
By joining, you have the opportunity to work with other women to improve the social, cultural and physical environment in our community. In so doing, you can meet and make new friends, gain knowledge, and become a better citizen. Much more can be accomplished when there are many working together in the same interest, and we invite you to give it a try!
In order for you to join you will need to participate in at least two events with the club. Then, fill out this New Member Application and send it to our Membership Chairman at ajwcga@gmail.com. Our yearly dues are $40 due when you join.
